At this moment I am unsure of who I want to choose as a community partner. I have always been interested in politics on the theoretical level, but never really considered any of its practical applications. As such I currently am struggling with what area of community based learning I wish to engage in and am at a loss to figure out what I want to learn. I guess it would be beneficial to first figure out what I want to get out of my community based learning and what I hope to achieve if anything. The thing I think I most want is to have an experience. Not necessarily life altering or something that causes a seismic shift in my character or life, but something that will at least feel poignant at the time. To that end I know whatever I do it should involve some type of work with people, I don’t want to be stuck in an office behind a desk doing paper work. I want to engage with people. Given my other school obligations I also don’t would prefer if whatever I do is done all at once and not over the course of several weeks or months. Other than that I don’t have any real criteria for my CBL.
